Shoichi Royama

Shoichi Royama is Professor of Money and Banking in the Department of Economics at Osaka University, Japan, where he has taught since 1969. He attended Tokyo University and received his Ph.D. from Osaka University. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Washington and at the Monetary and Economic Research Institute of the Bank of Japan, Tokyo. He was the recipient in 1985 of the Mainichi Newspaper's Economist Award.
