Thomas F. Cargill received his Ph.D from the University of California at Davis and is now Professor of Economics at the University of Nevada at Reno, where he has taught since 1973. His appointments include Visiting Scholar, Hoover Institution, Stanford University; Visiting Scholar, Bank of Japan, Tokyo; Visiting Scholar, Ministry of Finance, Tokyo; and, in 1988, Visiting Scholar, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation."
